Movie Review #312: Alex Cross [12 Reviews Before X-Mas #10]

The best scene in the film

Passable and implausible

If taken too seriously, Alex Cross will surely end up on the worst movies of 2012 list. But if you can relax your brain for a while and just take the ridiculous story as it is then you’ll be up for a decent watch. Otherwise, you should look elsewhere.

The biggest issue I had was not so much with Matthew Fox and Tyler Perry, the two main leads who were actually quite okay with their acting. It’s the implausible scenes which get me. And I found it incredibly difficult to overlook as I tried hard to focus on the action instead, which too was alright. At least that didn’t disappoint. It’s a “B” for action and “D” for story. Get the average and you’ll know my rating.

GRADE: C
