Movie Review #343: Red Dawn

Decent action hides the crap that is underneath

A North Korean invasion may not be an impossible thing, but when you have poor acting tangled with crappy writing, you wouldn’t think such an event could occur at all.

Red Dawn has enough action to keep you interested throughout, but man you’d have to endure the dialogue in between. The poor acting didn’t help either. The cast may be okay actors individually, but put together they become a rather weak ensemble. Chris Hemsworth delivered the best performance among the likes of Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson and Adriane Palicki, but despite that I didn’t really find him great. Character development was nonexistent too. If you’re going to check this out, forget about story, just sit back and view a watchable action film.
